Sponsor licence health check

Ten questions. Answer honestly: the result is a list of areas to look at, not a score or a prediction.

1. Do you have a named Authorised Officer and Key Contact, and are they still the right people?
2. Is there a right to work check on file for every sponsored worker, done before they started?
3. Do you hold, for each sponsored worker, the records the guidance asks you to keep (contact details, passport or ID copy, and so on)?
4. Do you check that each sponsored worker’s pay still meets what their Certificate says?
5. Do you have a routine for reporting changes within the time limits?
6. Do you track unauthorised absence and work that has stopped, and know when to report it?
7. Do you know when each sponsored worker’s permission to stay ends, with a reminder before it does?
8. Did your organisation pay the Immigration Skills Charge and sponsorship costs itself, without recovering them from workers?
9. Could you find any worker’s file within a short time if the Home Office visited tomorrow?
10. Do you check the register and the sponsor guidance regularly for changes affecting you?

Where this comes from

This is a simple checklist. It does not assess your actual records, cannot tell you whether you are compliant, and does not predict the outcome of any Home Office action.

This tool is for information only. It is not legal or immigration advice, it is not approved by the Home Office or UKVI, and it cannot guarantee any outcome. For advice on your situation, speak to a qualified immigration adviser.
